40 Under 40 Leadership Group Will Host Charitable Event To Benefit Toys For Tots

Staten Island, New York / PRBuzz.com / November 14, 2011 - - The 40 Under 40 Leadership Group announced it will be hosting its First Annual Holiday Kickoff Party to benefit the Toys for Tots Foundation, on November 30th from 6:30PM-11:30PM at Z-Two Lounge.  Confirmed guests include elected officials, business owners, and media outlets, including Industry Magazine, among others.  The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

The 40 Under 40 Leadership Group is a component of the Staten Island Economic Development Center and is comprised of young business leaders dedicated to creating economic opportunities through networking, community involvement, and philanthropy.  It was formed just over two years ago and has already made an impact on the Staten Island community by implementing initiatives such as the South Shore Merchant Program among others.

 "We are looking at this event as a means to bring like-minded professionals together for a night of networking and charitable giving," said Shane Sorrento, the groups newly elected Chair.  "Our immediate goal is to collect as many toys for underprivileged children as possible, and while we hope most people will be able to attend, we encourage everyone in the community to donate a toy at one of our many drop-off locations across the island."

In addition to its philanthropic nature, the event will also present a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services.  There are several sponsorship levels available and some of the sponsors include Apex Credit Solutions, PRcision LLC, Posh Baby & Teen Furniture, Healthy Smiles of Staten Island, Walsh Electric, The Price Is Right Movers, Casale Jewelers, Daddy O's BBQ & Sports Bar, Northwestern Mutual, The Luthmann Law Firm and The Hilton Garden Inn. 

About The Event:

The affair will take place on Wednesday, November 30th from 6:30PM-11:30PM at Z-Two Lounge located at 2925 Veterans Road West.  Tickets are $50 and may be purchased in advance or at the door, and include top shelf open bar as well as food.  Please bring at least one unopened toy the night of the event to benefit Toys for Tots.  Should you wish to donate to the toy drive and are unable to attend on November 30th, please visit one of the drop off locations listed below.
